Once in a relationship, it can sometimes mean that you stop caring as much for your health and fitness as you once did. And then you start packing on the pounds and become complacent, eating and drinking whatever you like, whenever you like.

It’s always good to care about your wellness when in a couple. I think you kind of have to be each other’s cheerleader – to encourage and recognize each other’s effort in putting fitness and health as a priority🤸‍♂️💞🤸‍♀️

Last year I went to the first ever Balance Festival at London’s iconic Old Truman Brewery, Shoreditch and it is back again.

It was amazing trying different fitness sessions from boxing to spinning. After feeling invigorated from the sport classes, you can walk around to see the new healthy foods out, expert trainers, yogis (yoga practitioners) and athleisure brands under one roof.

Each gym space at the festival is a remake of the original studio, offering fitness fans the chance to experience all of London’s top fitness spots in close succession.

The Saturday line up includes Cat Meffan and Michael James Wong in a ‘girls vs. boys’ session so bring yourselves down there as a couple or as singletons!

The battle of the sexes continues on Sunday with exclusive workouts led by personal trainers. Attendees looking for an energising and uplifting mind and body session are catered for by yogis Steffy White and Annie Clarke.🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

The festival’s Sanctuary has various meditation areas, organic skincare products and massages – plenty of mindfulness to be soaked up here.

Festival goers also have a chance to meet exclusively with Balance experts, including iconic headliner Zanna Van Dijk, as well as top HIIT trainers and Healthy Chef Steph. This is any curious Londoner’s opportunity to grab a chat with them through workshops, talks and live-demonstrations.

I love what Ludovic, Director of Balance Festival, says about the event being ‘focused on helping Londoners step outside their comfort zone and to try something new – to find balance on their own terms. We know that healthy lifestyles are often perceived as the key to happiness and success, but can so often seem impossible due to busy lives and demanding careers. Balance Festival offers to help achieve a more fulfilling lifestyle.’

Healthy foods to try, fitness sessions and great vibes – what a great place to spend your weekend! 👍🤸‍♀️🥗🏋️‍♀️🥑
