Happy Valentine’s guys 💗💗💗
Another year, another date idea for all of you❣ This time I invited someone who bought one of my first dating event tickets…which sadly didn’t happen and I’m so glad I didn’t continue with the events or this couple wouldn’t have formed! 💞
The couples interviewed will each have a set of questions sent to them and the answers sent back to me separately – this will allow me to see how aligned they are with their responses 🤯…
Couple in the interview spotlight
Vanessa (V), 26, Student Support Officer and Nathan (N), 29, Primary School Teacher
How did you both meet?
V&N: A dating app (same answer)
How long have you been together?
V: Almost 10 months
N: We have been together for 10 months
How did you find the date night at the theatre?
V: Amazing! I’ve wanted to see the Lion King for years and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
N: I found the theatre great and riveting . I was fond of the stage direction and the singing.
What did you like most about the show?
V: Definitely the songs, took me back to my childhood.
N: I loved the music and the lighting of the show.
Onto more relationship topic questions for you both…
When you disagree on things with your partner, how do you resolve them?
V: Usually taking the time to hear each other out after the initial disagreement. Being honest about how something has made us feel and how we hope to move forward from it.
N: We resolve issues through dialogue and keen ear to understand the other party. Validating their emotions is key.
What do you love most about your partner and why?
V: His eccentricities make him special. He’s a weird one, and is never afraid to be true to himself.
N: Her sense of humour and keen eye for detail.
What is one major thing you have learnt being in this relationship?
V: That a relationship requires continuous effort. You can’t just go about your business and expect things to be just as great and exciting as it was in the beginning. Both people need to nurture it for it to grow and stay strong.
N: How to be patient and understanding through being an active listener.
What’s a piece of advice you would give about relationships to others?
V: Talk to each other. Don’t let pride or fear stop you from communicating with your partner because being vulnerable and honest is actually one of the best things you can do. Also, still go on dates!
N: Trust the process and allow the other person to be who they are.
From their answers I can see they are very aligned and as they accept each other for who they are, the relationship looks set to steadily grow stronger over time 🤗🏋️♂️💗🏋️♀️🤗
